Design: Then Came June

Fabrics: Caroline Friedlander and Pure White

Batting: Hobbs Heirloom Cotton

Notes: The accompanying photos of this quilt were taken at sunrise, as that's what inspired me to make Then Came June's "Burst" pattern. The graphic design of the detailed block patterns allowed me to emphasise different elements, changing like the sunrise. This is all about mellow colours, a clean design and bursts of orange. The backing is also a Friedlander fabric, a lovely, soft cross-hatch. Machine quilted. The binding is, as with all my quilts, finished with invisible hand stitching.
